Bill to Prevent Medical Marijuana Dispensaries in New York

The New York lawmaker introduced a Senate Bill 4930, also known as the “Illegal Narcotics Dispensary Ban”. The bill pursues an aim to prohibit medical and recreational marijuana dispensaries.

“No person shall sell, dispense, give away, provide or cultivate any quantity of marijuana, regardless of the purpose of such sale, dispensing, provision or cultivation, nor shall any person operate a dispensary of marijuana,” the bill says.
The bill appeared as a bill that would allow medical marijuana use in New York continues to advance in the New York Assembly.

But we can say that Senator Ball`s bill has no co-sponsors, unlike The Assembly Bill 6357, the Compassionate Care Act, (over 60 co-sponsors) and Senate Bill 4406 (12 co-sponsors).

While all America support for marijuana law reform, Senator Ball took a firm line against it. Also, as we know, he voted against the Marriage Equality Act in 2011, but backed up use of public funds to private schools students` transportation.

According to comments on the Internet we can say, that New York residents consider Senator Greg Ball, mildly speaking, a “pathetic individual” who uses his own opinion while he was voted to represent people and suggest voting him out!
